A Strong Showing at The Fire Safety Event 2026
The Fire Safety Event 2026 proved to be our biggest and most successful exhibition to date, giving us a valuable opportunity to meet installers, consultants, end users and industry partners from across the sector. We were delighted by the level of interest at our stand and would like to thank everyone who stopped by for a demonstration, asked thoughtful questions and shared their own experiences of fire alarm response and site management.
Events like this are important because they create space for practical conversations about what really matters in the field: speed, clarity and confidence when critical information is needed most.
New Enhanced Capability
One of the standout talking points at the event was the latest development in dynamicZM. The system already provides critical information immediately when a fire alarm is activated, helping users identify the affected area without delay. We have now enhanced this capability further on selected addressable systems, enabling the display of the location text of the first device in alarm together with the time of the first activation. In practice, that means responders can move beyond a general zone indication and gain fast, focused insight into where the alarm started and when the sequence began, all from the earliest moments of an incident.
This focus on immediate, intelligible information aligns closely with the intent of BS 5839-1:2025, which places clear emphasis on giving people responding to a fire alarm signal an unambiguous representation of the premises and the location of the fire, typically through indicating equipment, a suitable display or a correctly orientated zone plan adjacent to the control equipment. Industry guidance has reinforced the same principle: when alarms operate, staff and attending responders need to understand the affected area quickly and without confusion. That expectation is central to effective response, particularly in larger or more complex buildings where time can easily be lost if information is unclear.
Our aim is simple: remove uncertainty and support decisive action from the very first seconds of an alarm. By presenting clearer information at the point it is needed, dynamicZM helps users build a faster understanding of the situation before valuable time is lost. Whether the initial response comes from on-site staff, facilities teams, security personnel or attending emergency responders, the ability to identify the first device in alarm and the timing of that activation can help inform a more effective and more confident response.
The response we received at The Fire Safety Event 2026 confirmed just how strong the demand is for solutions that make alarm information clearer, faster and more useful in real time. We are proud of the interest shown in this latest enhancement and excited about the practical difference it can make on live systems.
